Benjamin W. Mittman, Sr., is the Anointed Pastor/Teacher of East White Oak Baptist Church. He is a native of Mt. Airy , North Carolina where he began his ministry in 1975. He was ordained in 1975 through the High Point Educational & Missionary Baptist Association and began pastoral ministry in 1982.  After becoming a tenured pastor, he accepted the call to East White Oak Baptist Church in 1989. 

Pastor Mittman received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University in Raleigh , NC . He also holds a Masters of Divinity Degree from Shaw University 's Divinity School.

As Pastor/Teacher of EWO church, his Philosophy of Ministry is that East White Oak should be the Embodiment of Jesus Christ in the World; that the Church should Edify itself in Love through Worship and Fellowship; and that the Love of God be conveyed to the Larger Community as well as through Mission Outreach Endeavors.

He is accompanied in ministry by his wife Michele Antionette who is the Director of the EWO Early Childhood Development Center . They have two sons Benjamin Jr. (Bonita, Benjamin III and Bryson) and Michael Antonio Mittman.
